Grade Level/Discipline: I teach sophomore and senior English. I also teach a Mythology course and a yearbook course.

Few Facts about myself: I live in Ohio and teach in a rural school district; the very one I attended as a student. I am married and have a son who is a graduate assistant basketball coach at a college in a suburb of Chicago. I love to watch sports and thoroughly enjoyed watching him play college basketball for four years. I have never taken an actual course in technology and am very excited to learn some of things that will make my teaching more relevant to my students at the next level.

What I'd like to learn or get out of this course: I have a lot of technology in my classroom and access to even more. I have a class set of laptops, an in-focus, an ipad, an elmo, a Smartboard, etc. I want to learn to do more with these "gadgets" than typing papers and giving notes. I hope to learn to give my students some real world experiences in my classroom with technology.

My favorite game(s): I have a Yahtzee addiction. I am quite lucky at it and challenge everyone I know regularly to play me. They learn quickly that I have an uncanny rolling ability and rarely come back for more. Often, I play by myself with two different scorecards! :)
